Making A Difference
TSWGO works passionately to reduce stress for families facing childhood cancer through giving financial grants, covering the kinds of expenses
that are NOT covered by insurance. While we are proud to say we have given out over $450,000 in grants, what amazes us is that
the majority of this sum has been raised by young people who have said with Esther “We just want to make a difference in the world.”
We started calling this the Esther Effect and began to wonder how much more these friends could do given the opportunity. Project LOVEly is our new grant-giving venture, seeking to inspire young people to actions that instill hope, create spaces of awesome, and demonstrate love in their communities.
Since August 3rd, 2010, Esther Day has been celebrated as a day to verbalize our love for family and friends and let them know how much they mean to us. It's the non-romantic Valentines Day for all the other kinds of love!
Join our team of awesome people who are not afraid to be themselves as we endeavor to raise funds & awareness for This Star Won't Go Out, a non-profit foundation serving families with children diagnosed with life-threatening cancer. Consider joining an awesome, nerdy group of runners, joggers, walkers, and more-- as we raise funds and awareness for This Star Won't Go Out .
Project LOVEly is a separately funded grant-giving venture from This Star Won't Go Out. Project LOVEly seeks to inspire young people to actions that reflect the "Esther Effect," instilling hope, creating spaces of awesome, and demonstrating love in their communities.
